As a reminder, the first Star Trek movie in the Kelvin Timeline had Kirk hook up with an Orion woman while both were in the Academy. In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Lt. Ilia was from a world whose people used sex as a form of greeting, but swore celibacy when they weren’t on their world(if I remember correctly).
